Description

Description

This is neither an autobiography nor a "sanctification." Leonidas Andrianopoulos did not do anything extraordinary to be welcomed by thousands at the Panathenaic Stadium. He simply played good football. However, he carried the weight for football to exist in Greece; he contributed his stone to the Greek football edifice.

In another country, Leonidas Andrianopoulos, the last survivor of the "heroic" era of the game, would have been invited and would have sat in the official seats during the welcome of the national team. This immense void, in my opinion, is what this book seeks to fill, which is nothing more than an exercise in deep breathing in a world that needs it.
