The hunt for a whale becomes the reason for the ship "Pequod" to be left without a captain and crew, stranded in the sea. The 15-year-old sailor, Dick Sand, now takes on the difficult role of leading the ship to land, to the American continent. Eventually, the ship is wrecked on the shores of Africa and its passengers fall into the hands of a gang of slave traders. Now, the responsibility of the 15-year-old captain is greater. How will he bring his companions safely back to their homeland? How will they escape from the hands of the slave traders? How will they cross the inhospitable Africa to reach a place where they can find some help?
