Description

What is Deste? It is perhaps the oldest divination deck of witches. `Deste` in Turkish means `heap of cards`. And `fala bakmak` means `I see the fate`, referring to the `casting` of the cards for fate.

The deck consists of sixty-five cards with symbolism. For the jann (the enlightened), Deste predicts events. Those that will come (famines, floods, disasters) and do not depend on you, and those that depend on you whether they will happen or not. The latter can change. The complex of the former with the latter, over time, composes destiny. `And the fate cannot be escaped from`.

The box of Deste, made of ebony, which holds the deck wrapped in dark crimson velvet, reads: `Whatever fate dictates, whatever it may dictate, may it be well received`.

Ms. Meimaridi has published an excellent deck, accompanied by a detailed booklet that guides step-by-step through interpretation and spreads, both with the Tanridna and with the Imperial Cross method. Like any tool, in the right hands it can become gold, while in the wrong hands it may seem useless. These are oriental cards that, when used correctly, provide impressively detailed and targeted information.
I highly recommend it to those who want to engage in fortune-telling, especially to people who do not know foreign languages, as the available Greek literature for such decks is often lacking. Furthermore, its price is extremely affordable for its quality.
And one last thing: do not be discouraged by the superstitions or fears of others. Many simply find it convenient to blame whatever happens to them on external factors and not see their own responsibility.

Very enlightening cards for a wide range of conditions. I would not recommend anyone under 21 to get involved with fortune-telling in general. It is a pleasant game but not when it becomes a passion, like everything.

I don't know exactly what story these cards carry, but whatever it is, it's not a game. Many years ago I bought it and we were fooling around with my friends, throwing them at each other. Until they started coming out. At first you think it's a coincidence, then you say it's just chance, but after the third time we started to wonder how they could come out with such creepy accuracy. And then the bad things started coming out. And I'm talking about really bad things! Exactly as they had come out on the cards. Since then, I have locked it in a drawer and have never thrown it away, and I would advise anyone who is about to throw it away to avoid it!

I do not recommend it to anyone, for the simple reason that when you get involved with these, you will not easily untangle afterwards.

The story is nice. It just shouldn't be circulating the cards, they come out and I don't know how many people want to learn the good and the bad. Even deaths. Personally, I saw it as a game when I was younger.. but unfortunately it wasn't.

For those who want to read something to take their mind off things and enjoy both cards and mystery, here is the work that speaks to us about a strong woman who made it through thanks to Smyrna, and of course Mrs. Meimaridi generously unfolds this story for us.
