Although the 2018 model still stands comfortably, I got it slightly used when entering iOS for the first time. The high build quality is easily visible from the moment you hold it. Amazing screen with absolute black, tremendous sound mainly in quality, stereo of course, and very good camera with realistic color reproduction. iOS is very easy and ergonomic. Finally, I would like to point out that the device is characterized by the following "firsts". 1) Design-wise, it is the first iPhone without a central button and bezels. I consider that, design-wise always, the next truly interesting and distinctive model is the 12. 2) It is the first iPhone with an OLED screen. 3) The first with face ID and eSIM card capability. 4) The only iPhone so far referred to by letters and not by numbers. The last one, of course, is not something substantial, but for some it has its value.

First time on iOS operating system
Many mobile phones have passed through my hands, mainly unknown devices for most people like nexus 5x, pixel 2, oneplus
But also well-known ones like LG g7, Sony, Samsung s10.
Those of you who know the first companies, know that we are talking about mobile phones that are the best in terms of Android user experience.
But in essence.
Now I understand why this company has such a fanatic audience. Apart from those who want to hold an apple in their hands, there are also those who want a flawless software. In this aspect, iOS excels. Many applications in the AppStore. No software-related issues in any application, as you encounter in many other Android companies. (I should clarify that this happens due to the environment of each company and not due to Android software).
The screen is very good and of course it is amoled, although it also supports ips panel and here the colors have a realism and not the exaggeration that most amoled screens have.
In the most basic and important things that most people forget to mention. Call sound.
Impeccable, even at maximum volume the earpiece does not distort the sound, it is clear and crystal clear (I have only encountered this in the oneplus 6 so far).
The speaker does not blow your mind, but the sound that comes out is clear and loud (stereo of course).
Battery.
Considering its size of 5.8, iOS manages it very well and with a good to heavy usage it will easily last you until the evening when you go home.
I don't play games but I watch a lot of videos. I have noticed that it doesn't perform very well in that aspect. It drains relatively quickly. But it supports fast charging. So if you have a good branded charger, it will help a lot.
Now, about the cameras... so as not to bore you too much, I will tell you that if you want a mobile phone mainly for taking photos but you don't want to spend a lot of money, around 300-400, go for a google pixel 3-4 and that's it.
No, its photos are not bad at all, it's just expensive only for that.
But when it comes to videos... I have to say that so far at least, iOS is the king. Incredibly stable videos that are hard to find on Android devices.
Finally, for those who want a mobile phone with stable software support for at least 5 years, here you are.
Is it worth the money? Yes and no.
If you want an apple device under 6'' with FHD screen and amoled, here you are. If you don't care about these things, of course, go for the iPhone 11.
And of course, if you don't care about changing your mobile phone in a year, then Apple is the company for you. But even if you want to do it after 2-3 years, if you have taken good care of it, then you can sell it at a very good price.
Finally, for the battery health issue, to make it last longer it would be good to watch some videos on YouTube.
I have had it in my hands for 10 months and the battery health is still 100%.

I have had the phone for 4 days, so you can't expect a crazy review. My previous phone was the iPhone 7 plus, with which I was completely satisfied, and I was looking for a better screen, camera, and design. It goes without saying that the XS covered me in all aspects and more, as its top-notch screen offers incredible colors and contrasts. The battery of the phone is something that worried me before purchasing, but I believe that it can last a typical day of use; however, at night, you definitely need a charge, which lasts about 1:30 to 2 hours. I believe I don't need to mention the speed and camera of the phone, as we all know that iPhones work flawlessly without lagging and have, if not the best, at least one of the best cameras. The video quality is incredible in 4K 60fps, stable, with amazing colors. Something I noticed is that the XS has something like a beauty filter on the camera, which intensifies the colors of the skin and beautifies you in a few words (some people dislike it, while others like it; personally, I am neither for nor against it, I just want to say that it works flawlessly and better than the beauty filter on Android). The phone with its 5.8 inches, I believe, is enough and easy to handle. I believe that for the €630 I bought it for, it is worth its money and will easily last you 2-3 years. A secret for battery health is to not strain the battery, meaning don't let it go from 100 to 0 and then again from 0 to 100 repeatedly, as it strains the battery and results in easy battery health deterioration. Also, a good move to save battery is to enable low power mode. Finally, the battery health can easily drop if you use low-quality wireless chargers, so it's better to spend a little extra money on a good quality one

I am the owner of this particular mobile phone since February 2019, so the following review can be considered valuable.
Construction: The construction and materials of the mobile phone are premium, sturdy, and anyone can understand that they have a high-end mobile phone in their hands for which they paid a high price.
Display: The display of the mobile phone will not disappoint anyone. Specifically, the panel offers very reliable colors that are very true without being over-saturated. If someone is interested in vivid and intense colors, it is better to look at another mobile phone. The only negative aspect I find in this model is that the screen is too small for video watching. However, during everyday use, it is very convenient without requiring any large movements.
Performance: No recommendations are needed, the mobile phone does not lag anywhere and it will perform any task to the maximum. The A12 processor, along with Apple's operating system, makes the mobile phone incredibly fast.
Battery: At the beginning of my purchase, the mobile phone easily lasted a day, and maybe even more. However, over time, the performance has decreased significantly, which is perfectly normal since the mobile phone is used to its maximum extent.
Camera: The photos and video recording are at a very good level and will not disappoint the average user. The only negative aspect, but not to such a noticeable extent, is that photos taken in low light conditions do not come out exceptional, which anyone would expect. Additionally, it is important to mention that social media works very well on iOS, resulting in photos not being compromised when uploaded.
Operating System: iOS does not lag anywhere and constantly receives updates. The main negative aspect I find is that the user does not have the option to change their mobile phone according to their preferences, and that the applications are much more limited and often require payment. However, this is not only a negative aspect since the applications have minimal issues.
The mobile phone will not disappoint anyone, and at the price it is currently being sold (4/6/20), I believe it is worth the money. I hope the review was helpful for your purchase.

I am coming from iPhone 7 to iPhone XS.
With the iPhone 7, I had absolutely no issues except for the battery.. let me now talk about the XS that I have been using for about 2 weeks!
It takes awesome photos and videos, the call quality is excellent.. superior to the 7.. the battery, with the usage I do, lasts me 1 day.. the screen is amazing because now we have super AMOLED instead of LED.. its speakers (one on top and one on the bottom) are loud with clear sound.. as for the software, let's not discuss it, it doesn't lag anywhere just like the 7 didn't.. the only thing I would like more is a slightly longer battery life.. but other than that, it charges quickly.. for the price that the phone is, it's worth buying!!

I have had the mobile phone for about 3 months. Initially, I have to say that I am one of the biggest opponents of Apple due to the excessive overpricing of its products. However, this particular mobile phone I would never buy at the price of 1200€ it was released, but at the price of 700€ that I found it, it is a very good value for money.

Firstly, it has a premium construction and you can immediately tell. Its processor is perhaps among the top 2-3 in the world, its camera does not need criticism as it is the standard for all other mobile phones, and the screen is simply amazing. Also, a positive aspect is that iPhones, if you take care of them, can last at least 5 years as top mobile phones, while Androids are not even a joke. That's why I decided to go for iPhones for the first time.

As for the negatives, the battery. Apart from its short lifespan (barely a day without heavy usage), it deteriorates relatively easily. At least in my device. A friend of mine with an iPhone X that is 2.5 years old has a battery health of 85%, while mine has dropped to 96% in 3 months. It's not such a tragic problem since I deal with repairs and can change it myself, but definitely for a mobile phone with an initial price of 1200€, it definitely hits hard.

In conclusion, a small piece of advice: never look at the specs. For example, at the moment, the iPhone XS costs about 60€ more than the Samsung Galaxy S10, which is better based on the specs in all categories, but in all benchmarks, it falls behind the iPhone (except for the battery). Why? Because the software matters and iOS is years ahead of Android.

I continue to criticize Apple (sorry fanboys) for its policies, but I have to say it again: at the price it is today, the iPhone XS is one of the best choices one can make.

After 5 years of using the iPhone 5s without any problems, I wanted something newer and with a bigger screen, hoping that it would withstand like its predecessor, the 5s. It cannot be compared to anything.

Pros:
- Extremely fast with a stunning LED screen!
- Amazing photos and videos, even at night.
- Satisfactory size and weight.
- Very good build quality.

Cons:
- The Face ID doesn't work with mirrored sunglasses, like Ray-Bans... and also doesn't work when wearing a mask (due to the current situation), which is understandable!
- I would have liked a slightly bigger battery. However, it easily lasts a day.

Overall, it is a relatively expensive phone but with excellent build quality and software that runs flawlessly no matter what you use or upgrade it with, for at least 5 years!

With Apple, you get what you pay for...

I have an iPhone XS since Christmas 2018, which means it's been 14 months.
I think I have formed a solid opinion about it.
I'll start with the negatives, which is only one: the battery.
The battery, with everything turned on, lasts for 8 hours of office use with 4G and then WiFi, and Bluetooth connected to my Apple Watch, it lasts until late afternoon, depending on usage.
If you don't connect a smartwatch, especially in the beginning, it would last for a second day.
And here the negatives end!!!
It is incredibly fast, never lags, the camera is among the top (except maybe in low light situations), and you can feel the luxury of Apple directly.
For 600 euros, it's a one-way street for Apple fans and a good opportunity for Android fans to get to know it.
Oh, I forgot about the amazing screen. OLED, and yes, you can easily notice the difference.

By far the most value for money device from Apple at the moment.
What can you say first about this wonderful device.
Features (processors - memory, etc.) that make it equivalent to the 11pro (no difference no matter how many videos you watch on YouTube in terms of speed and management).
Beautiful OLED screen with amazing calibration from Apple (same as the 11pro).
Amazing camera, although on paper there are significant differences from the 11pro, in practice the difference is minimal. The only downside compared to the 11pro is the night mode, which can be fixed with a paid app called neuralcam and almost brings the same results.
The battery now lasts me around 6 to 6.30 hours of screen on time with 15% battery left every day.
The device is premium with very nice materials (glass - front - back with stainless steel sides and not fake aluminum).
Compact device that fits perfectly in the hand for a nearly 6-inch phone. I don't know if there is a smaller volume in the market in this 5.8-inch size.
Face ID is very fast.
All of this at almost half the price of the 11pro.
I hope I convinced you and with the money you will save (if you were buying the pro) you can go on vacations.

A very good phone although very expensive.
I bought it three years ago for 600 euros from Skroutz, now I see that it is being sold for over 800 euros, we Greeks are a bit cunning.
Well, the phone hasn't presented me with anything. Three years of use and everything is perfect, battery health at 84% with normal use (let's not forget it's a phone), I comfortably go through the whole day.
Super screen, super speakers, I recommend it even used, very good video with good stabilization, very nice photos, the only downside is its price, but they are not ashamed, I bought it for 600 and now it's 850, instead of the price dropping it's going up, only for this reason I wouldn't buy it, otherwise it's a device I will stay with for years.

The phone is really perfect, it is very fast, takes perfect photos and videos, but one complaint I have is its battery. I start in the morning with 82% and by the afternoon it has dropped to 10%. However, the usage I give it is not small, it is heavy, about 4 hours of screen-on-time. I could justify the battery life since I have only had it for 2 days and maybe it will learn how I use the phone and manage the battery better. Also, I am impressed with the software since I come from Android and I really have no words. The face ID has left me speechless and personally, I prefer it over the fingerprint sensor, and also the screen is simply amazing. The phone is just perfect!
P.S: The battery life has increased because of what I mentioned earlier and now it lasts from morning until night and still has 30%.

The first iPhone I have in my possession. I can say that as soon as I held it in my hands, I immediately understood the quality we are talking about. The frame, although it is stainless steel, did not slip as much as I expected. The screen, even today in 2020, is incredibly good and the average person cannot distinguish the pixels. The iOS operating system is and will remain one of the best-designed and long-time supported operating systems available. It is simple externally, but if you take the time to explore it, you will notice that it has countless functions, most of which are useful. Face ID has truly saved me from all the troubles and problems I had with my previous mobile phone, which had a fingerprint sensor. From constantly making failed attempts to unlock the phone, now I simply look at the screen and the phone unlocks. Any network problems I had simply do not exist. The internet is lightning-fast without disconnecting from the network. The photos are almost the same as those of the 11 and 11 Pro, with the difference being that the XS does not have night mode and an ultra-wide lens. I can say that the speakers are very good with a strong and full sound. The only negative thing I noticed is the battery. For me, as a heavy user, the battery needs to be charged at least twice a day. Anyone who gets this phone will definitely be satisfied, but they should definitely also get a good case and a screen protector because it is glass in the front and back. That's it

Although the 2018 model still stands comfortably, I got it slightly used when entering iOS for the first time. The high build quality is easily visible from the moment you hold it. Amazing screen with absolute black, tremendous sound mainly in quality, stereo of course, and very good camera with realistic color reproduction. iOS is very easy and ergonomic. Finally, I would like to point out that the device is characterized by the following "firsts". 1) Design-wise, it is the first iPhone without a central button and bezels. I consider that, design-wise always, the next truly interesting and distinctive model is the 12. 2) It is the first iPhone with an OLED screen. 3) The first with face ID and eSIM card capability. 4) The only iPhone so far referred to by letters and not by numbers. The last one, of course, is not something substantial, but for some it has its value.

First time on iOS operating system
Many mobile phones have passed through my hands, mainly unknown devices for most people like nexus 5x, pixel 2, oneplus
But also well-known ones like LG g7, Sony, Samsung s10.
Those of you who know the first companies, know that we are talking about mobile phones that are the best in terms of Android user experience.
But in essence.
Now I understand why this company has such a fanatic audience. Apart from those who want to hold an apple in their hands, there are also those who want a flawless software. In this aspect, iOS excels. Many applications in the AppStore. No software-related issues in any application, as you encounter in many other Android companies. (I should clarify that this happens due to the environment of each company and not due to Android software).
The screen is very good and of course it is amoled, although it also supports ips panel and here the colors have a realism and not the exaggeration that most amoled screens have.
In the most basic and important things that most people forget to mention. Call sound.
Impeccable, even at maximum volume the earpiece does not distort the sound, it is clear and crystal clear (I have only encountered this in the oneplus 6 so far).
The speaker does not blow your mind, but the sound that comes out is clear and loud (stereo of course).
Battery.
Considering its size of 5.8, iOS manages it very well and with a good to heavy usage it will easily last you until the evening when you go home.
I don't play games but I watch a lot of videos. I have noticed that it doesn't perform very well in that aspect. It drains relatively quickly. But it supports fast charging. So if you have a good branded charger, it will help a lot.
Now, about the cameras... so as not to bore you too much, I will tell you that if you want a mobile phone mainly for taking photos but you don't want to spend a lot of money, around 300-400, go for a google pixel 3-4 and that's it.
No, its photos are not bad at all, it's just expensive only for that.
But when it comes to videos... I have to say that so far at least, iOS is the king. Incredibly stable videos that are hard to find on Android devices.
Finally, for those who want a mobile phone with stable software support for at least 5 years, here you are.
Is it worth the money? Yes and no.
If you want an apple device under 6'' with FHD screen and amoled, here you are. If you don't care about these things, of course, go for the iPhone 11.
And of course, if you don't care about changing your mobile phone in a year, then Apple is the company for you. But even if you want to do it after 2-3 years, if you have taken good care of it, then you can sell it at a very good price.
Finally, for the battery health issue, to make it last longer it would be good to watch some videos on YouTube.
I have had it in my hands for 10 months and the battery health is still 100%.

I have had the phone for 4 days, so you can't expect a crazy review. My previous phone was the iPhone 7 plus, with which I was completely satisfied, and I was looking for a better screen, camera, and design. It goes without saying that the XS covered me in all aspects and more, as its top-notch screen offers incredible colors and contrasts. The battery of the phone is something that worried me before purchasing, but I believe that it can last a typical day of use; however, at night, you definitely need a charge, which lasts about 1:30 to 2 hours. I believe I don't need to mention the speed and camera of the phone, as we all know that iPhones work flawlessly without lagging and have, if not the best, at least one of the best cameras. The video quality is incredible in 4K 60fps, stable, with amazing colors. Something I noticed is that the XS has something like a beauty filter on the camera, which intensifies the colors of the skin and beautifies you in a few words (some people dislike it, while others like it; personally, I am neither for nor against it, I just want to say that it works flawlessly and better than the beauty filter on Android). The phone with its 5.8 inches, I believe, is enough and easy to handle. I believe that for the €630 I bought it for, it is worth its money and will easily last you 2-3 years. A secret for battery health is to not strain the battery, meaning don't let it go from 100 to 0 and then again from 0 to 100 repeatedly, as it strains the battery and results in easy battery health deterioration. Also, a good move to save battery is to enable low power mode. Finally, the battery health can easily drop if you use low-quality wireless chargers, so it's better to spend a little extra money on a good quality one

Construction: The construction and materials of the mobile phone are premium, sturdy, and anyone can understand that they have a high-end mobile phone in their hands for which they paid a high price.
Display: The display of the mobile phone will not disappoint anyone. Specifically, the panel offers very reliable colors that are very true without being over-saturated. If someone is interested in vivid and intense colors, it is better to look at another mobile phone. The only negative aspect I find in this model is that the screen is too small for video watching. However, during everyday use, it is very convenient without requiring any large movements.
Performance: No recommendations are needed, the mobile phone does not lag anywhere and it will perform any task to the maximum. The A12 processor, along with Apple's operating system, makes the mobile phone incredibly fast.
Battery: At the beginning of my purchase, the mobile phone easily lasted a day, and maybe even more. However, over time, the performance has decreased significantly, which is perfectly normal since the mobile phone is used to its maximum extent.
Camera: The photos and video recording are at a very good level and will not disappoint the average user. The only negative aspect, but not to such a noticeable extent, is that photos taken in low light conditions do not come out exceptional, which anyone would expect. Additionally, it is important to mention that social media works very well on iOS, resulting in photos not being compromised when uploaded.
Operating System: iOS does not lag anywhere and constantly receives updates. The main negative aspect I find is that the user does not have the option to change their mobile phone according to their preferences, and that the applications are much more limited and often require payment. However, this is not only a negative aspect since the applications have minimal issues.
The mobile phone will not disappoint anyone, and at the price it is currently being sold (4/6/20), I believe it is worth the money. I hope the review was helpful for your purchase.

I am coming from iPhone 7 to iPhone XS.
With the iPhone 7, I had absolutely no issues except for the battery.. let me now talk about the XS that I have been using for about 2 weeks!
It takes awesome photos and videos, the call quality is excellent.. superior to the 7.. the battery, with the usage I do, lasts me 1 day.. the screen is amazing because now we have super AMOLED instead of LED.. its speakers (one on top and one on the bottom) are loud with clear sound.. as for the software, let's not discuss it, it doesn't lag anywhere just like the 7 didn't.. the only thing I would like more is a slightly longer battery life.. but other than that, it charges quickly.. for the price that the phone is, it's worth buying!!

I have had the mobile phone for about 3 months. Initially, I have to say that I am one of the biggest opponents of Apple due to the excessive overpricing of its products. However, this particular mobile phone I would never buy at the price of 1200€ it was released, but at the price of 700€ that I found it, it is a very good value for money.

Firstly, it has a premium construction and you can immediately tell. Its processor is perhaps among the top 2-3 in the world, its camera does not need criticism as it is the standard for all other mobile phones, and the screen is simply amazing. Also, a positive aspect is that iPhones, if you take care of them, can last at least 5 years as top mobile phones, while Androids are not even a joke. That's why I decided to go for iPhones for the first time.

As for the negatives, the battery. Apart from its short lifespan (barely a day without heavy usage), it deteriorates relatively easily. At least in my device. A friend of mine with an iPhone X that is 2.5 years old has a battery health of 85%, while mine has dropped to 96% in 3 months. It's not such a tragic problem since I deal with repairs and can change it myself, but definitely for a mobile phone with an initial price of 1200€, it definitely hits hard.

In conclusion, a small piece of advice: never look at the specs. For example, at the moment, the iPhone XS costs about 60€ more than the Samsung Galaxy S10, which is better based on the specs in all categories, but in all benchmarks, it falls behind the iPhone (except for the battery). Why? Because the software matters and iOS is years ahead of Android.

I continue to criticize Apple (sorry fanboys) for its policies, but I have to say it again: at the price it is today, the iPhone XS is one of the best choices one can make.

After 5 years of using the iPhone 5s without any problems, I wanted something newer and with a bigger screen, hoping that it would withstand like its predecessor, the 5s. It cannot be compared to anything.

Pros:
- Extremely fast with a stunning LED screen!
- Amazing photos and videos, even at night.
- Satisfactory size and weight.
- Very good build quality.

Cons:
- The Face ID doesn't work with mirrored sunglasses, like Ray-Bans... and also doesn't work when wearing a mask (due to the current situation), which is understandable!
- I would have liked a slightly bigger battery. However, it easily lasts a day.

Overall, it is a relatively expensive phone but with excellent build quality and software that runs flawlessly no matter what you use or upgrade it with, for at least 5 years!

I have an iPhone XS since Christmas 2018, which means it's been 14 months.
I think I have formed a solid opinion about it.
I'll start with the negatives, which is only one: the battery.
The battery, with everything turned on, lasts for 8 hours of office use with 4G and then WiFi, and Bluetooth connected to my Apple Watch, it lasts until late afternoon, depending on usage.
If you don't connect a smartwatch, especially in the beginning, it would last for a second day.
And here the negatives end!!!
It is incredibly fast, never lags, the camera is among the top (except maybe in low light situations), and you can feel the luxury of Apple directly.
For 600 euros, it's a one-way street for Apple fans and a good opportunity for Android fans to get to know it.
Oh, I forgot about the amazing screen. OLED, and yes, you can easily notice the difference.

By far the most value for money device from Apple at the moment.
What can you say first about this wonderful device.
Features (processors - memory, etc.) that make it equivalent to the 11pro (no difference no matter how many videos you watch on YouTube in terms of speed and management).
Beautiful OLED screen with amazing calibration from Apple (same as the 11pro).
Amazing camera, although on paper there are significant differences from the 11pro, in practice the difference is minimal. The only downside compared to the 11pro is the night mode, which can be fixed with a paid app called neuralcam and almost brings the same results.
The battery now lasts me around 6 to 6.30 hours of screen on time with 15% battery left every day.
The device is premium with very nice materials (glass - front - back with stainless steel sides and not fake aluminum).
Compact device that fits perfectly in the hand for a nearly 6-inch phone. I don't know if there is a smaller volume in the market in this 5.8-inch size.
Face ID is very fast.
All of this at almost half the price of the 11pro.
I hope I convinced you and with the money you will save (if you were buying the pro) you can go on vacations.

The phone is really perfect, it is very fast, takes perfect photos and videos, but one complaint I have is its battery. I start in the morning with 82% and by the afternoon it has dropped to 10%. However, the usage I give it is not small, it is heavy, about 4 hours of screen-on-time. I could justify the battery life since I have only had it for 2 days and maybe it will learn how I use the phone and manage the battery better. Also, I am impressed with the software since I come from Android and I really have no words. The face ID has left me speechless and personally, I prefer it over the fingerprint sensor, and also the screen is simply amazing. The phone is just perfect!
P.S: The battery life has increased because of what I mentioned earlier and now it lasts from morning until night and still has 30%.

The first iPhone I have in my possession. I can say that as soon as I held it in my hands, I immediately understood the quality we are talking about. The frame, although it is stainless steel, did not slip as much as I expected. The screen, even today in 2020, is incredibly good and the average person cannot distinguish the pixels. The iOS operating system is and will remain one of the best-designed and long-time supported operating systems available. It is simple externally, but if you take the time to explore it, you will notice that it has countless functions, most of which are useful. Face ID has truly saved me from all the troubles and problems I had with my previous mobile phone, which had a fingerprint sensor. From constantly making failed attempts to unlock the phone, now I simply look at the screen and the phone unlocks. Any network problems I had simply do not exist. The internet is lightning-fast without disconnecting from the network. The photos are almost the same as those of the 11 and 11 Pro, with the difference being that the XS does not have night mode and an ultra-wide lens. I can say that the speakers are very good with a strong and full sound. The only negative thing I noticed is the battery. For me, as a heavy user, the battery needs to be charged at least twice a day. Anyone who gets this phone will definitely be satisfied, but they should definitely also get a good case and a screen protector because it is glass in the front and back. That's it
