The machine operates flawlessly, after installing the program that is available on the CD included in the package. As for those who claim that it cannot save multiple pages in a PDF, they simply need to scan all the pages and BEFORE saving, select all the pages on the left with Shift and down arrow or alternatively with Control and left mouse click, just like selecting files for copy/move/delete.

GET THE 400-not the 300 = Defective: September 2022: The product came out defective, it wouldn't read the device, it froze during scanning. Every time I shut down the computer the next day it needed software reinstallation again. Two weeks ago I reported it for warranty use and after speaking with 2 companies, 2 employees, and several emails they replaced it for me. It’s not the same model, which strengthens my doubts about this specific model, but the next one they sent me works perfectly!

Scanning is slow but of good quality. The accompanying software is very poor, so I had to install PDF24 tools from the net, which is available for free.

  • I am very satisfied with the purchase of the scanner. The scanning quality is excellent and it works flawlessly. The big advantage is that it does not require a separate power supply, as it simply connects via USB to the laptop and is ready to use. Very practical, easy to carry, and ideal for everyday use. I highly recommend it!

This review is about the optical resolution: 4800x4800 DPI

The best thing I've gotten my hands on in recent years! With (max) resolution 4800x4800 DPI, 48-bit color depth, it fully covers my needs. Pros: speed, design, weight, connectivity, easy buttons, price. Cons, which do not take away a star: the software, which is complete, but a bit too simple if you want something more special. I use it with a Mac, with its own software for quick scans, and with VueScan 64 for something more advanced. I wish it came in A3 size too!
    ATTENTION! LiDE 400, not 300!

For home use, you don't need anything more. Although you can change the scanning settings, the default ones will more than satisfy the average user. The buttons on the device make the scanning process easier and it automatically converts to PDF.

Very decent scanner, with very good resolution. After 5 years of continuous operation, it started having problems during scanning, resulting in the process not being able to complete and requiring you to repeat the same procedure (the message that appears on the screen is: Problem scanning. Something went wrong. Please try again)

It scans in relatively good quality, I have seen better though. I couldn't find those 4800x4800dpi anywhere. I also have another older one here, 2400x1200 scan, I wanted something more powerful. In the past I had a Canon 4800x2400 but in the end the lid broke. Not to mention it works only by itself, unacceptable

I got the machine on offer for 80 euros. I am amazed! We're talking about incredibly fast, much less than the time stated by the manufacturer, and very quiet. Well done to Canon.
    And also very beautiful.

I scanned about 13,000 photos for 5 years and it worked perfectly. Then it gave me the error that another user mentioned above (code error 2, 156, 33), but now the warranty doesn't cover it. For the work I did, it was worth the money, but I would have expected it to last longer.

I bought it to digitize family photos (around 1000).
Amazing job. Very easy and fast.
    - Very easy to set up (but you need to know a few things like how to download drivers, how to adjust settings that suit you, etc.)
    - Automatically crops the photos even if you put more than 1 in each scan. It separates and saves them in the folder you want.
    - Explosive resolution, I can print a giant poster if I want with any scan.
    - Normal speed. 8 seconds for one page (sometimes even 5 photos).

In 4 hours, I scanned and archived 600 photos at a relaxed pace

This review is about the optical resolution: 4800x4800 DPI

The scanner is quite lightweight and relatively quiet. The big positive is that it doesn't require extra power but only the USB cable. The scans look good, although they don't leave you in awe even at the highest resolution I use to scan photos. Usually, I scan three photos simultaneously and the file size it produces is about 100MB. At the highest resolution you can reach, it is quite slow, while the accompanying software is quite user-unfriendly (at first encounter) and outdated.

I come from Epson perfection 3200. Due to the lack of drivers for win10 64, Epson forced me to buy a new scanner this way. Of course, I won't compare the two scanners (it's like day and night), but I believe that for this price, considering that I researched it thoroughly before deciding, through skroutz.gr as always, it is a decent purchase.

For the connection, you simply connect the cable and activate it. For scanning, I needed to download an application to scan because the buttons were not doing anything. With the application, it's fine, each page is a separate PDF, but I would like to combine 2-3 pages into one PDF in some cases... But it's okay because you can merge the PDFs afterwards and everything is fine... It would just be helpful if it had that from the beginning... I do my job very well and easily even like this.
UPDATE: With the Canon u scan utility application, I solved any issue I had... Many pages in one PDF and you can do wonders through the settings of this application!!! Top scanner for that money

Very good machine. It connects directly to a Mac. It requires an additional application, Canon IJ Utility Lite, to easily and simply adjust its settings and utilize all its capabilities. It supports multi-page scanning and direct email sending. The colors are very realistic. Its speed is very decent for amateur use. Its size is very convenient. Its functions can also be executed using the external buttons. It is a value for money purchase!

Good and fast scanner, but the color performance in photo scanning is not as accurate and good as in Epson scanners. Also, the accompanying software is a bit outdated and inconvenient

Perfect, convenient, and fast. It doesn't need a power supply as it is powered through the port. It was very helpful that it converts files to .pdf and can convert multiple scans into a single file. For its price, it's worth the purchase

Quite a good scanner for its price, I bought it for professional use in photos and sketches. The only negative thing is that it doesn't fully recognize MacBooks, it doesn't open the Canon Scan utility, and I don't have the ability to do stitching. :(

Very nice and useful machine. I have already scanned over 300 documents and I didn't have the slightest problem. I have also tried some old photos and the quality was very good.

It works perfectly on Linux with the XSane program. It needed a little setup but now it is stable and works without any problems.

Excellent device for its cost. Instant connection, small size, easy to use from the device's buttons as well as from the computer. I use it with the Microsoft Scan and NAPS 2 applications.

I highly recommend it!
