Regarding the significant expansion of the Mongol Empire - an expansion that initially affected both indirectly and directly the eastern borders of the Byzantine world, Greek literature has not yet provided, in the form of a book, a presentation of the historical image of the Mongolian world and its conquests.

This monograph seeks to fill this gap in a concise and understandable manner. It provides informative details about the primary sources of Mongolian history and is based on documented synthetic works from the international specialized literature.
