After more than ten years with an old Panasonic (even with a battery replacement halfway through its life), I decided to get the new one and it really does not disappoint! My use is purely for trimming my beard and shortening body hair – and this machine does it all perfectly.

Its head and the control it gives you are top-notch, you can "sculpt" your beard in detail. As stated in the features, it starts from 0.5mm (without the head) and goes up to 10mm, with increments of half a millimeter – perfect for those who want precision. If you have a steady hand, you can even achieve a fade by yourself at home!

The battery easily lasts for 3-4 trims (at least for me), it can be safely washed under the tap, and all you need is a bit of oil for lubrication. The feel in the hand is sturdy, the cut is clean and fast, and overall it looks high-quality in every detail.

Overall, we're talking about an excellent machine from Panasonic, combining power, precision, and comfort. I recommend it without a second thought – it’s truly worth it!

Former owner of the Phillips BT3000 series. Used almost exclusively for beard trimming.

Firstly, I would like to emphasize that the comments for beard trimmers are not very helpful on skroutz. I believe this is mainly because there is no category for beard trimmers, only razors and hair clippers.
Additionally, there are different needs for a trimmer (mustache trimming, 3-day stubble shaving, hair trimming, bald shaving, body shaving) and depending on each person's need and usage, the corresponding review is given.
I use a beard trimmer almost exclusively for mustache trimming. I had the Phillips BT3000 series for a few years, which, although cheap, did a good job. However, just before 2 years passed, the head broke. It was replaced free of charge, but again, before 1.5 years passed, the head broke again.
For reliability reasons mainly (and very good reviews), I decided to invest more and try the Panasonic ER-SB40-K803 instead of the Phillips BT5000 series or the (all in one) Phillips 7000.

The machine has nothing to do with the Phillips BT3000. It is more powerful, sturdier, more convenient, easier to clean, and has a better battery. The motor and blades are fantastic! With the old machine, it took me about 15 minutes for trimming and cleaning, now I need less than 5.
Both end up trimming evenly, but the Panasonic is in a completely different category...
I hope that "made in Japan" also implies reliability.

Of course, the ER-SB40-K803 costs twice as much, requires lubrication, and trims only from 0.5 to 10mm.

I think it's a clear case of "You get what you pay for."

If someone can afford this amount, I highly recommend it.
