“I consider all my books as a work that started being written once, continues, and will finish along with me,” said Alexandros Kotzias in 1980. Shortly after, he began to compose a series of essays - testimonies of the coherence he spoke of.

Among them, the most prominent is "Alithomanes Chalkion," a poetic text on the exciting secrets of the novelist's art. This edition gathers Kotzias' essays, explores their position within the entirety of his prose and critical work, and utilizes his archive to comment on them with the immediacy of his own voice.
