Put others first and yourself afterwards. This even pays off from a selfish standpoint. Let me explain how this is possible.

You desire happiness and abhor unhappiness. And if you show others kindness, love, and respect, they will respond in kind; in this way, your happiness will grow. If you show others hatred and anger, they will return it to you. And thus you will lose your happiness.

So I tell you, if you are selfish, you must be wisely selfish... When you focus your attention on others, your well-being automatically completes itself.
