It has been used for several years now, both in cases of sore throat and preventively during times when there is dust transfer, a surge in illnesses, or even without a specific reason. Whenever I have caught a sore throat early, it usually goes away quickly. There is the version with alcohol, which is this one, and the flavored version (strawberry, if I remember correctly) that says it is for children, although it works perfectly well for anyone who is bothered by the "classic" one. I prefer the one with alcohol because, in case there is irritation in the throat, it leaves a slight sting, which I use as my personal benchmark for how the irritation is subsiding.

It helps a lot to prevent children from getting tonsil stones. I especially recommend it during the transition from baby teeth to permanent teeth.
