This book aims to present the timeless evolution of the state of the environment in our country and internationally, from the "Neolithic Revolution" to the present day, the factors that have shaped and continue to shape it, the developments and achievements of modern ecological science, as well as the major problems faced today by efforts to protect the environment.
Specifically, it presents the evolution of living conditions, means and methods of production and the consequences of these developments on the individual factors that shape the state of the environment (climate change, housing conditions, spatial planning, forest and wildlife protection, water supply, sewage, waste management, agriculture, livestock, processing, etc.).
Particular emphasis is placed on the description and evaluation of the effectiveness of the legal framework for environmental protection in our country. It also presents the birth and evolution of the nature conservation movement, the ideological views on the science of Ecology and environmental protection that developed from the mid-19th to the mid-20th century, as well as the exploitation of ecological science, particularly by the regime of Nazi Germany.
A more specific object is the description of the perceptions and practices of charitable foundations and NGOs that operate on environmental protection issues and the political ecology movement.
