Excellent smoky!!! For years I only drank Lagavulin, but at the price it has reached now, it’s not worth it… At least comparable to it and at almost half the price! For me, who likes smoky whiskies, it’s the only choice. In the proper glasses for single malt and accompanied ONLY by Mesolongi bottarga. Try it and you’ll remember me!!!

For its 10 years of aging, it is a very good whisky. Very smooth, which is due to the fact that it is non-chill filtered and its oils and fats have not been removed. These are able to give body to the whisky and cover the 46% alcohol, while others with 40% cannot cover it because they are simply filtered and almost nothing is left inside them.

The aroma smells of the sea, but a 'hot' sea, saltiness and smoke. You also get a sense of lemon and fruit in the background. The taste is quite thick for a 10-year-old whisky and gives you saltiness and quite a bit of smoke, but you also feel a taste of lemon and a bit of 'hospital.' Quite a smooth and thick whisky with nice flavors, if you like this style. It is also sweet and that makes it even easier to drink.

The aftertaste is nice and lasts quite a while, leaving a smoky and salty finish. For its price and age, it is a very honest whisky. If you like this style, it is one of the best choices

From the moment I tried it for the first time, I never changed it... a difficult whisky... it's not for everyone. Everything is very intense—taste, aroma, everything... Amazing for those who like smoky whiskies.

Due to budget, I haven't tried whiskey over €90.
The most expensive is the Lungavulin single malt 16 years.
But Ardbeg, although cheaper, I like it the most of all.
I'm crazy about the iodine flavor it gives, and if you combine it with clams or fresh shellfish, you'll remember me there!!!

If they told me to take ONE whiskey and go to hell, I WOULD TAKE THIS ONE!... The 10 and of course the more expensive siblings Uigeadail, Corryvreckan, if they were girls, I would jump off a cliff for them!!!!

If you are a fan of Islay malts, then you already know and love Ardbeg, intensely dry and smoky, one of the purest expressions of the style.

In general, I have been drinking Ardbeg 10 for the past 1.5 years since I have it at my home, and I can say that no matter how many new Scotches I try, it remains one of the best I have ever had. On the nose, iodine and a general sea breeze dominate, with intense smoke and ash, while one can also notice hints of lemon zest. On the palate, it is bold with all the above coming together in harmony. I would also say that the finish is medium to long. An excellent starting point for someone who wants to move to something smokier than Talisker.

Surely we are talking about a heavily smoked whiskey that is definitely not aimed at smoking beginners, however if you are knowledgeable enough you may appreciate it. A characteristic taste is the sensation of meat that you do not find in other smoked whiskies, at least from what I have tried. It has a great aftertaste that leaves you with a lasting burn. Worth a try.

A very good strong smoky single malt whisky, with a nice salty taste and intense personality! Nothing special in the nose as a scent, but the taste and aftertaste are quite nice and lasting, and quite smoky!!! For me personally, it is a must try, maybe even a must buy for lovers of smoky whiskies... But I will definitely place it a little below Lagavulin 16, which I consider to have achieved balance and noticeably better taste and aroma of peat and smoke! This may be a bit smokier than Lagavulin, but Lagavulin may have achieved perfection!!! Next for tasting is the Laphroaig 10...!

It is the best one can have in their cellar.... strong peat with smoke, they come together beautifully...... a full-bodied, authentic smoky whiskey, that finally ends the summer so I can enjoy it by the fireplace.... unique.... My trio of Ardbeg - Lagavulin - Laphroaig will always be at home... Fireplace-Ardbeg-Tobacco Vanille Tom Ford, and anyone who smokes cigars...... This combination does not exist,... If you like real strong smoky flavors, you have already got it and you don't even know it.....

Personally, for me, it is wrong! Probably the wrong recipe, pure ash covers everything rough, wild, as if you are eating punches!! Nevertheless, I give it two stars because I wanted to have a second glass afterwards... something inexplicable pulls you!

Amazing whiskey, very intense in flavor, peated like nothing else and with explosive aromas. A plethora of flavors and aromas. Apart from Lagavulin, which is also an amazing peated whisky, the ones that are equally remarkable and peated for me are Ledaig 10 and Glenglassaugh Torfa. Try them, you won't be disappointed. Better than Laphroaig 10 in my opinion.

From the top value for money whiskies and in the top 5 of the best Islay whiskies that exist. A choice that doesn't disappoint if someone is looking for taste and aroma.

This whiskey is magnificent, very smoky and very unique, very complex, amazing nose, amazing aftertaste, strong flavor due to the intense smoke, somewhere in the depth of the smoke it releases a sweetness, slightly peppery, 46% abv. I dare to say that with each sip you discover something more. I recommend it to everyone, although because it is very smoky it may seem strange or heavy to non-smokers, however, I think this particular one, because it has a very rich flavor, could also be a beginning in smoky whiskies.

It goes without saying, 5 stars for this ultimate whiskey.
This is nectar, a revelation. I really don't see the point in non-smoky whiskies, but this is just my taste perception.
I'm curious to try Laphroaig and Lagavulin to compare, but..
Ardbeg 10 clicked with me so much that even without trying any other smoky ones, except for Oban 14 which has a minimal peat flavor, I think it will remain a favorite.
As for the price, I don't care.. when there is such quality.

I had been looking at this particular one for years, I always bought Lagavulin. The time had come to add this one to my collection. Light color, green bottle. I can't understand what's going on with Islay and green bottles. Coincidence? On the nose, smoke and paste. On the palate, salt. A lot of salt and iodine, like drinking seawater with ash. Flavors that linger in the mouth, a lot of saliva. As someone who likes salty flavors, my hand easily reaches for the bottle every time. We compared it to Laphroaig with the "batzanas" and the latter covered Ardbeg in a brutal way. In a second tasting without any other Islay, the intense flavors of Ardbeg were much more apparent. Definitely interesting, the hand goes towards the bottle, classic label. If you haven't tried Lagavulin, Laphroaig, and Ardbeg, I don't see a reason why you shouldn't start with one from the holy trinity of Islay

Number 1 whiskey for me. Smoky dynamite that stays with you for a while after you drink it. The only thing that saddens me is its price, that's why I usually go for Talisker, which I also love. Ardbeg is a dream, if it cost as much as Talisker, I would buy it every month.

The smoked drum is my favorite!!! I don't know about iodine and salts that some connoisseurs say. I will tell you one thing! If you can handle swallowing lit coals, then you have nothing to fear

Tremendous love with great aftertaste and very intense aromas of peat. The truth is that you get lost in so much peat trying to find something different, which you do find. Very good!! If you want smoke and intense fragrance but at the same time a sudden sweetness, this is your whiskey.

From the other known "smoky" ones, clearly stronger, so I consider it for experienced palates. Top-notch as well!

Intensely smoky whiskey for those who seek it to the maximum degree. I have tried Talisker 10 and Lagavulin 16, and I'm telling you that the smoky flavor is twice as strong! For me, the best smoky one!
