Although words are unnecessary for this specific automatic Orient Kamasu, not only for the amazing coloring of the dial, which in sunlight or bright light creates a stunning ruby red that in shadow becomes Perle bordo, while in low light it appears as burnt red, and in almost dark environments, it looks like a red that has darkened!! However, this is subjective because it is a matter of taste!! Nevertheless, I, who have purchased the ruby bordo because that's how I see it, along with the others who have it, cannot stop admiring it continuously all hours of the day and night while wearing it!!! However, the watch does not stop at being a feast for the eyes but continues with the beautiful sword-shaped hands with the excellent luminescence, which when exposed to sunlight for a few hours at night, the reading of the time is unique with the day and date at the 3 o'clock position, which are easily visible once your eyes get used to it!! With a beautiful black aluminum bezel, unidirectional, counterclockwise, which is indeed quite stiff at first but then settles down, with a small screw-down crown that, however, during use, becomes accustomed to the 3 o'clock position. And in a flawless case made of solid steel of excellent quality with a beautiful bracelet that does indeed rattle a bit but not so much as to be absolutely annoying, and this is because if it were of better quality, obviously the purchase cost would also rise, but it has a double safety clasp that is not found in other manufacturers, or if it is, it looks cheap to fake!! The watch is waterproof up to 200 meters for all marine activities!! The excellent automatic mechanism, which is Orient made in Japan, has 24 jewels and features hacking for better accuracy regarding seconds when setting the time and minutes with 21,600 vibrations of the spring for the greatest possible accuracy, and while the company states in the manual that it gains 25 seconds ahead and loses 15 seconds behind per day, mine, although the movement has not settled, gains 9 seconds in 24 hours!! This means that for an automatic Japanese watch and generally for an automatic watch, for such a price, especially better accuracy, prices start from €600 and above!! And especially when all automatic watches lose, as quartz watches lose, albeit less, they still lose!!! With a fully wound spring, when the watch is left unworn, it has a power reserve of 40 hours!! And always with a two-year warranty from the official representative!! I bought it for €270 while the watch can go up to €500!! Thus, this specific watch with the characteristics it has and the quality of construction would cost at least €300 more from another larger or more famous manufacturer!!! So, its purchase is comfortably VFM!!!! Its weight for an automatic watch with a case of 42 millimeters of solid steel and sapphire crystal, with one piece removed, is 160 grams!!

The Orient "kamasu" is an incredible watch for its price. Especially the red color, which I chose, is what stands out among the other Kamasu models and I recommend purchasing it. I am a collector who prefers more "traditional" colors when it comes to the dial (black, blue, green dial), but I decided to add some color to my collection. After many hours of searching and researching about the Orient kamasu, I realized that its specifications compete with watches worth 500 euros and above, for almost half the price. Orient produces the watch with its own in-house movement, which means a mechanism developed by the same company (for those who are not familiar, this is a good thing), called the Orient F6922 Automatic Movement. The company provides a range of +/- 15 seconds per day, which is quite good for an automatic watch in this category. I must add that my Kamasu is even more accurate in time than what the company claims. As for the water resistance, the Kamasu has 200m/20bar, but it is not ISO certified. However, I have worn it in the sea without any problems, and I have read from various reviews that the Kamasu has been worn for deep dives as well. Something to keep in mind for those considering purchasing the red dial color is that videos and photos do not do justice to the color. In reality, it is much more beautiful up close, and the red color dramatically changes depending on whether it is in the sunlight or not. Specifically, the dial appears as a deep burgundy color in sunlight, which is stunning, while in indoor spaces with low lighting, it appears almost black. Orient calls this feature the sunburst effect. The luminescence has a green color, it is incredibly intense, and it lasts for a long time. It goes without saying that with such a low price, not everything can be perfect. The only thing that bothered me about the watch was its bracelet. Although the bracelet is sturdy, with a decent metal clasp, the end links (the last curved pieces that connect to the watch case) were flimsy, resulting in them rattling when I moved my wrist. However, there are many options to upgrade your bracelet. For now, I have it on a simple black NATO strap, but later on, I plan to put a jubilee style bracelet from the company Strap Code, which sells bracelets for this specific watch. In conclusion, if you want a powerful diver watch, I highly recommend it, especially for its price.

A diving watch from Orient that is worth its money. Despite its size (42 mm), it fits well on smaller wrists due to the small distance between the points where the bracelet is attached (approximately 47 mm) and resembles more a watch with a 40 mm case. In this particular color, the watch "comes alive" with light, and the shades range from deep burgundy in dark environments to sparkling ruby in intense lighting conditions. It is truly a delight to watch it transform. The mechanism is from Orient, automatic, wound by rotating the crown and stops its operation by pulling it, for easy time adjustment. So far, it is stable, reliable, and trouble-free. The crystal is made of sapphire, which sets it apart from other Orient models and makes it resistant to scratches and wear. The hands have the appropriate size and are very distinguishable, and the luminescence is more than satisfactory for nighttime use. The rotating bezel in this model has a black color, is not wide, fits perfectly with the indices, and generally does not pose any problems in its rotation. With the bracelet without removing any piece, the watch weighs 168 gr, while adjusted on my wrist (18 cm), two pieces were removed and it weighs 156 gr. The bracelet is of moderate quality but does its job. For those who like the feel of the bracelet and want to upgrade it, there is the option of Strapcode. For my taste, it will definitely be worn with NATO straps and leather straps. The only possibly negative point, as others have noticed, is the crown, which is indeed screw-down but is small and not user-friendly, however, considering all that this watch offers, this is only a minor flaw.

This is a pretty good watch that I would recommend. Firstly, it has a very beautiful dial with a ruby sunburst effect. The bezel is rotating and unidirectional. The lume is excellent and I have uploaded a photo where it is shown on the left after a brief exposure to the sun compared to a cheap Q&Q watch on the right of the image.

The crown is screw-down, small, and difficult to handle. Personally, I was frustrated until I learned how to work with it and even now it is not convenient. The protection surrounding it, to prevent accidental unscrewing, does not make things easier. When setting the time, the seconds hand stops (hacking) and makes the adjustment easier.

The accuracy of the watch, in mine, is +9 seconds per day on a full spring charge, although when it comes to accuracy, it's a bit of a lottery what you'll get. Many times, a measurement with a chronograph and adjustment will be needed either by the user (if they have the knowledge and tools) or by a watchmaker. Anyway, I wear it for many hours a day so that it doesn't start losing more time.

The date display is legible and the bracelet is average. I had to remove some links and adjust the closure to fit my wrist, which has a circumference of 16.5 cm. The watch with the bracelet weighs 154 grams and you can feel it as soon as you wear it. Personally, I plan to replace it with a fabric strap, among other reasons, to lighten it up a bit.
