Description

Designers never compromise with mediocrity, that's why the BenQ DesignVue PD2700U monitor offers absolute color accuracy and extremely high resolution to help designers bring their ideas to life.

Enhanced with BenQ's exclusive AQCOLOR technology and 4K UHD resolution, the PD2700U delivers colors used by designers with clarity and precision. With its 3 special modes for different scenarios, the PD2700U allows designers in different fields to achieve the same level of performance.

Color accuracy and resolution

4K UHD resolution means that you have precise images thanks to the 3840x2160 pixels, totaling over eight million. The PD2700U monitor offers 10-bit color depth and displays more than one billion shades, wide color spaces, personalized functions, and color confidence from Pantone and CalMAN.

Colors

Color depth of 10 bits, 100% sRGB, & Rec. 709, Delta E≤3

Covering 100% of the sRGB and Rec. 709 color spaces, and offering an amazing Delta E ≤ 3 value, the advanced wide viewing angle IPS technology of the PD2700U minimizes color shifting to inspire absolute confidence in design. The accuracy of the 100% sRGB color gamut strictly adheres to industry standards in digital production, and the Rec. 709 reproduces precise resolution performance, frame rate, color gamut, gamma, and color temperature in high-definition video tasks.

HDR10

The BenQ DesignVue PD2700U is equipped with HDR10 technology to allow designers to preview HDR video content during the editing process, ensuring desired results for their final projects.

CAD/CAM Functionality

Offering excellent contrast in lines and shapes in technical renderings, CAD/CAM functionality enhances details to deliver incredible display performance in Pro/E, SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, CATIA, or other design software.

Animation Function

Often a problematic point for designers working with intricate details in dark images, the Animation feature enhances the brightness of dark areas without overexposing the bright areas. The Animation feature provides 10 levels of screen brightness to capture every detail in any lighting environment.

Darkroom Mode

By adjusting the brightness and contrast of the images, providing clarity and sharpness in the details, the Darkroom function creates the optimal setting for working in darker post-processing environments.

KVM Switch

The KVM Switch function allows users to view and control content from two different computer systems on one screen, using only one keyboard and mouse set to save space and increase work efficiency.

DualView Function

Improve your workflow and enhance your productivity by enabling DualView to display designs in two modes (e.g. sRGB and CAD/CAM) side by side, without the need for two monitors.

Regarding clarity and color depth, it is excellent. However, after a month of use, I noticed burn-in, but fortunately it disappeared after a few minutes. The IPS glow in the corners is minimal.

I bought this specific monitor from a store on 8/2/2021. As soon as I connected it, the screen started to turn off and on randomly. I took it to the CPI company in Tavros, which is the official repairer for these monitors, and they replaced it with a new one and told me that the original one had a problem with the main board.

The new monitor I received had the exact same problem. It randomly turns off and on, and sometimes this flickering lasts for a minute. I spoke to the technician on the phone and he said it's unlikely that the second monitor has the same problem (even though the first one was clearly defective) and told me to check the electrical installation in my house. Despite not having any issues with any other device, I connected it to a different power outlet in my house and it continued to have the same problem. I also connected it to a different computer at my friend's house, and of course, it still had the same problem. I returned it to the service center, and after 2 weeks, they returned it to me and informed me that the monitor has no issues and everything is normal.

I would advise you to stay away from this particular model and Benq. The mistake was mine from the beginning for trusting this company.

    EDIT
After several months, I realized that the problem all this time was the HDMI cable. I was using the cable that came with the package, and obviously, it was faulty. I replaced it with another cable, and the problem was immediately fixed. The monitor has not turned off again. So, I take back what I said, the monitor is now functioning without any issues, and the colors are amazing.

    EDIT2
After 6+ months and having changed multiple HDMI cables, I have discovered the following: I have tried more than 5 HDMI cables that work perfectly fine with other devices. I even bought a new cable that claims to support 8K. I have tried it with 3 different computers, and the monitor still flickers. With all the computers and all the cables. The only cable that has not flickered even once is the cable of the Xbox Series X. Honestly, I have no idea how this is possible.

Very good image for 4K on a 27" screen. Within one year, it developed blacklight bleeding. They replaced it immediately. The monitor is mainly aimed at graphic designers, photographers, etc. as it has 100% sRGB certification. Good price compared to what it offers.
