Description

Description

This small book includes a triad of experimental, I would say, texts, which aim at a theological ontological framing of a critical reception of psychoanalysis, a reception that situates itself in the perspective that the author considers essential: the provision of conceptual space, that is, which would allow for a theological, in due course, hospitality of depth psychology.

Desire, Universality, and Eschatology thus constitute a triad of concepts with a deeply theological origin; they are the pillars of theological ontology, which make it truly fundamental, but at the same time, on a second level, they also represent fundamental ontological psychoanalytic goals - the highlighting of this fact promotes a theological interpretation of psychoanalysis that does not leave the latter indifferent at all, as it imbues it with new, broader horizons.

For the theologically unsuspecting psychoanalysts and psychotherapists, this will represent an additional scientific surprise - the ontological space in which they are hosted is `par excellence` theological! For theologians, the way of understanding the psychoanalytic phenomenon will come much closer to the essence of their deeper experience. Common reflection, at this depth, is absolutely necessary today.
