Dimitris does not introduce himself as a poet. He does not write with intention. He writes because he loves life and people. He writes spontaneously and rawly, seeking a life with different substance and meaning, outside the accepted conventions and the discipline of normality.

Having a dramatic and romantic perception of life, and with deep sensitivity, he writes to communicate, as there is no other way. People no longer listen; they only look at a screen.

His first poetry collection came about accidentally and unexpectedly when his partner gathered all the poems he had randomly left for her in various places or sent her at unsuspecting moments and decided to publish them. Sharp and penetrating texts, dedicated to all the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers. Perhaps the only ones who can still understand.

The poetry collection "Kokoro" speaks of the loss of self, the salvation of the soul, the futile, dreams, love, and the time that passes. The reason Dimitris writes is the same reason he takes photographs. He expresses the same emotions through both mediums. That’s why, along with the poems, the collection also includes photographs of himself, always primarily focused on the human being. Raw, realistic.

The title of the collection, Kokoro, is one of Dimitris's favorite words, as besides the interpretation of the word (heart, emotion), it contains a unique sequence of consonants, resulting in the word sounding both deep and funny at the same time.

"There is no true poet who is not a rebel," Lorca once said. There is no true rebel who is not a poet... in Dimitris's case.
