Description & Specifications

This is an effort to contribute to the study of the history of the people's revolutionary army, the Democratic Army of Greece. The character and purpose of the DSE were defamed by class enemies and deserters from the people's movement.
This book is useful and, in some ways, original. It provides evidence with arguments and materials from the period 1946-1949 that the DSE was a people's army, organized with commands, from the squad level up to the General Headquarters. It operated based on strategic and tactical plans, from the squad to the General Headquarters, with well-developed operational plans and orders throughout the hierarchy. Naturally, without military personnel, these operations could not have taken place. The army born from the people needed commanders and staff at all levels who reflected the character of the DSE. Thus, within the furnace of the hard struggle, training schools for officers and specialists in various fields, mainly infantry, were established.
The book describes the entire course and history of the SAG and other training schools. The military personnel trained at the DSE schools, with their heroic contributions, exposed the falsehood that the DSE's struggle was organized and guided by foreign forces (Bulgarians, Russians, etc.).
Knowledge of the historical truth will actively help the new generation of Greece in the fight against the ambitions of monopolies and imperialism, for people's power and people's prosperity.
