Family – systemic therapy is a branch of psychotherapy as well as a broader epistemological approach for understanding human relationships and problems. A brief reference is made to Whitaker's symbolic experiential approach, the object-oriented relationships and the family of origin according to Framo, and the strategies of Madanes and Haley. It also includes the evolution of the broader social context and family therapy in the Greek space, as well as topics of education and professional training in systemic - family therapy.
Significant observations from the application of these approaches in clinical practice are also included. The book is aimed at trainees and new therapists, as well as professionals practicing family therapy, while aspiring to be useful to all those engaged in the field of mental health and education (doctors, nurses, social workers, etc.).
