The translations of Shakespeare's dramas and other classical works made by Karthaíos are considered "theatrical" exemplary without losing the slightest bit of their poetic form.
Karthaíos himself writes: "The Greek rendition of this work has been made for the theater and, as far as it was convenient for the translator, literary." Thus, by remaining as faithful as possible to the meanings and the soul of the original, the translator attempted to give the impression of a Greek text that, if it were a method, would reach, as they say, wholly the audience sitting and listening to it inside the theater!
This is extremely difficult.
