Saint Porphyrios of Kavsokalyva lived holiness during a large part of the 20th century in Athens and fell asleep in Christ in Kavsokalyva on Mount Athos on December 2, 1991.

Saint Porphyrios loved Christ and his neighbor with a strong passion, deeply living what he advocated throughout his life, that "Christ is everything." Through his bright presence, his words inspired by God, and his intense prayer, he managed to make known to all who approached him the grace of life in Christ.

He also transmitted faith, joy, strength, hope, and the true meaning of life. This work is an anthology of the words of Saint Porphyrios. Its purpose is to establish the saving words of the Saint as an inseparable companion, guide, and driving force for every reader, regardless of time, place, and circumstances.
