Description

The relationship between Patricius and his tail was only restored when they both reached their deep old age. But until that time, Patricius attributed all his misfortunes to the tail.

Patricius was trained and committed to connecting two points with a straight line: the start and the Goal. If he encountered obstacles, he would push them aside, regardless of the crimes or good deeds he deemed necessary to commit.

It required great effort and absolute self-control for Patricius to live the double, triple, and even quadruple life, depending on the demands of the Goal, and to keep each one watertight and secret from the others. The same steady and determined hand that sent the opponent into the other world with the dum-dum bullets of his gun had to caress, without trembling, with deep tenderness and love, the soft fur of the babies and their little tails at home in the evening. But the effort was worth it!

Within his world, Patricius felt the omnipotence of a small god. And only the tail disrupted his Heavenly Order. Occasionally, in his artificial paradise, Patricius thought that if the Creator had decided on him to be Lucifer, he should at least have given him a tail that matched his beauty. And if he was destined to be an Avenging Angel, then he should have been granted an angelic tail, obedient and consenting. But Patricius's tail was simply a mouse's tail.

Subconscious and unconscious together, basic instincts and an untraceable psyche even for the authoritative psychologist of the Great Form followed its natural inclination. The tendencies and propensities of Patricius's mouse-like nature. And it remained untouched by the distortions imposed on Patricius's mind by the logic of Purposefulness.
