  • I have had it for three years and a few months and I still charge it in the same period of over (40) days! In fact, in these last four (4) days, I found that even with 0%(?) energy it still continues to work!

Let's start with the obvious. It is a smartwatch. It is not a wearable, it is not a sportwatch. What does this mean? It means that the Withings Steel HR Sport is an analog watch with smart features that focus on well-being and fitness.

Its strong, very strong points are as follows. Its battery life and the accompanying mobile app. Its battery life reaches 25 days (!!) and the mobile app is simple, understandable, and does everything you want in order for the user to have a complete picture of the measurements that concern them.

Also, a plus is the measurement and analysis of sleep quality, although it struggles to detect (and measure) a midday nap or a power nap. (update: I think that with the latest software updates it performs better)

Its measurements are very accurate. Besides heart rate, it measures steps, distance, calories, and has a special function for measuring 30 sports/activities.

On the downside, the small oval digital second screen (more reminiscent of an oversized notch on a phone) but let’s not forget that it is precisely this hybrid option from Withings (that is both analog and digital) that gives it the huge battery life.

Also, in the version with the black background, the hands are not very visible at night because they are also black. But the digital displays are very bright, and with a press of the side button, the time (and other displays) appears digitally.

It has a wide variety of straps and can generally take any strap for 40mm. The silicone strap has a casual style, so the appearance of the Steel HR Sport is neither very sporty nor very formal.

Finally, for a complete set of measurements and daily tracking, especially for those who are in a phase of self-improvement (diet/nutrition/exercise) or simply want to know what and how about their body, then the combination of the Steel HR Sport with the Body Cardio scale from the same company is a very good move. Until recently, it was also available on Skroutz:

The difference with the Steel HR is that the Sport can measure many more activities. Also, because many may get confused, Withings had sold the rights to the smartwatches and the app to Nokia, from which it reacquired them. Thus, the Withings Steel HR and HR Sport are the evolution of the corresponding Nokia models.

P.S: The watch was purchased from abroad much cheaper than the current price shown here (264 euros)
