    First of all, the 40db noise level mentioned by the manufacturer does not mean it is silent – quite the opposite, especially in a small space of 5-8 sq.m. Secondly, about two to three years after installation, it started making noise due to wear on the shaft friction. For their price, I expected more years of low-noise operation. NOTE: the 100CR model HAS a 1-30 minute timer.
