The speakers are literally used for everything, roughly I would say 50% for music, 10% for movies, 30% for gaming, and 10% for production. I am satisfied with all of them. Especially for music, you can't get enough. It has incredible clean bass and doesn't interfere with the other frequencies. I have them connected to a focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen sound card with TRS balanced sound. Even if I turn them up to the maximum from the sound card and from the back of the speakers, the volume is easily heard at 95% if not 100% of their quality. For music production, without having much experience, playing with FL Studio, I believe it does an excellent job. They are bulky speakers, heavy, high-quality, and beautiful. Nice touch with the logo in the center and the LED it has to let you know if they are on or off, in fact, after about 15 minutes of non-use, they go into standby mode, you can tell because the brightness of the LED will decrease. Also, when they start from standby mode, they fade in without abruptly entering, even if they have more than half of the volume. It is a premium product, so do not hesitate due to its quality.

After much research, I ended up with these studio monitors and I am absolutely not regretting my purchase at all. I have been using them for about a year and here's what I have to say:

Initially, when I saw them, I wasn't impressed by the shiny plastic on the front that made them look cheap. However, I trusted the reviews and bought them. Up close, I have to say they look even better than in the pictures, but that shiny plastic on the front constantly collects fingerprints, small scratches, and A LOT of dust. So, every other day, you have to sit down and clean them with a cloth or a feather duster, and that's the only reason why I gave them 1 star less. But that's where the negatives end.

On the first day, I received them, I put them on stands at head level and at the recommended 30-degree angle, I simply turned them on, played some music, and a big smile formed on my face... I was frozen in place until the song ended, completely mesmerized. I literally heard the singer right in front of me, it felt like they were actually in the room! What kind of sorcery is this? These speakers provide a unique experience, with a sweet, warm, and full sound, tight and abundant bass considering the size of the 5'' woofers. They don't distort the sound at high volume. I also used them for mixing, and they work very well with a flat sound. As for features, they have some settings at the back to adjust the sound according to your room, for example, you can decrease the bass and increase the treble, and they also have an auto-standby function that turns them off after a few minutes of inactivity.

For their price, I say go for it, because you won't find anything better. However, I would advise against choosing the larger ones from the same JBL series, as there are better options for their price, such as ADAM, KALI, and YAMAHA. If only they didn't have that shiny plastic, then we would be talking about perfection, but they don't...

You get what you give. And I'm not referring to money, but to the source and form of sound. If you play mp3 or music from the internet (YouTube, Spotify, etc.), it will show you the disadvantages of compressed sampling. If you use them as studio monitors or listen to music from CDs or turntables, then your speakers will reveal themselves!
Warm sound, sweet highs, warm mids, and tight bass. The speakers love analog sound! Especially listening from a turntable is a spectacle! All frequencies are there, bright, clear, and alive. The bass is dynamic, tight, and focused, not diffused in the room. Personally, I find them more than enough for the music I listen to and for my personal taste. There is no need to add a subwoofer to the system.
Pay attention to placement! If they are isolated from their base with some foam material, the speakers shine! It is good to place them at least 20cm away from the wall or corner because low frequencies are amplified and "muddy". Of course, the problem is easily solved with the balancing capabilities offered on the back of each speaker.
One major advantage they have compared to other monitor speakers is the wide listening field they offer. You can move around the room and hear almost the same balanced sound everywhere. There is no need to be stuck in one specific position. Their volume is amazing compared to their size.
In other online reviews, I often read about buzzing they produce. No way, I don't hear the slightest bit. The speakers are completely silent.
The speakers are slightly larger and heavier than most of the competition, but I like that. They give me a solidity that I consider necessary in speaker construction.
Until now, I used different sound systems for music listening and for my home studio. Now, I connect all my sources to an analog mixer and from there directly to the JBL speakers. My Arcam amplifier and my bulky Audio Spectrum speakers are now decorating the storage shelves. I saved a huge amount of space and convenience. Even the amplifiers for musical instruments (bass and guitars) are no longer as necessary for practice at home. The speakers handle it just fine.
