It is used as an antiseptic, antipyretic, expectorant, and bronchodilator (inhalation of warm vapors). The effect of eucalyptus on the skin is cooling and antiseptic. It is effective in treating blisters, pimples, head lice, and simple herpes with compresses or ointments. For compresses, we use 2 ml of oil in 100 ml of water. We apply them to inflammations, painful joints, and burns. For gargling, we dissolve 5 drops of essential oil in a glass of water. We mix well and gargle for throat infections.
Usage: For chest rubs, we dissolve 0.5-2 ml of oil in 25 ml of almond oil for colds, asthma, and flu. For massage, we add 20 drops of eucalyptus oil and 10-20 drops of rosemary oil to 20 ml of almond oil for rheumatic or arthritic pain. If the mixture contains a larger amount of eucalyptus oil, it may be absorbed into the bloodstream and irritate the kidneys. Therefore, we must adhere to the recommended ratios.
