Description

Description

Matcha tea, or the magic of Japan, is the most popular green tea in the world. It contains 135 times more antioxidants than a regular green tea, and this is because we consume the entire tea leaf and not just the infusion. Unlike green tea, in matcha tea, the plant's leaves are shaded before harvest, and this change in sunlight increases the levels of chlorophyll, which is rich in nutrients. Once harvested, the leaves are steamed to stop the fermentation that would reduce these elements. After drying, they are ground with stones to give us an intensely green powder.

Matcha tea is a high-quality tea, rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that protect against heart disease and forms of cancer, better regulate blood sugar, lower blood pressure, and have anti-aging properties. In addition to polyphenols (antioxidants), it has been shown to boost metabolism and slow or stop the growth of cancer cells.

Usage

For a Matcha drink, add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon for a cup of ready-made drink, using hot water just before boiling point.

I made matcha latte with some hesitation, as I read comments from some people saying that no matter what they did, it tasted awful. Well, the drink turned out PERFECT, exactly as I'm used to getting it outside, for €5++. The powder itself is ok, nothing amazing, it's not 'ceremonial grade', but you're not paying for ceremonial grade either. Personally, I was satisfied.

I followed Michelle Kanemitsu's instructions on Instagram, and from the 'traditional' tools I only used the chasen, the small bamboo whisk.

It is not for drinking. It is dark with an oxidized taste. Maybe it works for baking, I don't know. Of course, you can tell from the price. Better to drink mountain tea... it doesn't have a nice taste

4 stars only because of the packaging. Since it's powder, if you open the package a bit crooked, the matcha flies everywhere. It's very well ground, like powder, so I would recommend transferring it to another storage container after opening. As for the taste, it's okay, it depends on what each person can tolerate, yes it's like spinach/seaweed but it doesn't bother me and I drink it plain. It's the first matcha I've bought, I feel it's of good quality just from its taste and texture. I drink it in the afternoon instead of coffee, it indeed gives a mild energy.

I drink it STRAIGHT. And after the clickbait beginning, let's get to the point. I read reviews and expected to drink something... borderline beyond human tolerance. Internet exaggerations. I drink it straight, meaning a heaping spoonful in boiling water and ready, no milk, no honey, nothing else. It's not a feast of flavors but it's okay, it's drinkable, it's bearable. Let's get to the important stuff. Who expects to lose weight with a tea? Who? Only someone who doesn't get it. No tea, no matter how much it costs, will make you thinner. Matcha is packed with antioxidants and energy.
Friendly tip because... that's why we live, to help other people without looking at races and religions: We don't drink it on an empty stomach.

I absolutely love it. I didn't expect to like it, but I've become obsessed.

    So my personal instructions:
    1. Put half or one teaspoon of matcha in the cup,
    2. White/brown sugar/honey 1-2 teaspoons
    3. Add a little boiling water and mix with the mixer like we do for frappe to blend the powder well. Stirring with a spoon is not enough.
    4. Once the powder is well mixed, add a little more boiling water
    5. Almond/soy milk (or regular if you prefer)
    6. One more time with the little mixer to mix them together
    ready!

I used to drink 500ml of energy drink a day before because I get drowsy and lack concentration, since I replaced it with Matcha, my daily life has changed! A lifesaver for me!

It provides energy but different from coffee and also clarity. The taste is intense and even unpleasant. I drink it with a lot of stevia, like a latte with almond milk and a lot of cinnamon at the end. This way it becomes tasty.

Unfortunately, my wife developed acne on her body due to an allergy caused by the product, so she had to stop using it. It's a shame because she was also losing weight. It's not necessary for everyone to experience this. That's why I'm not speaking ill of the product.

If you have never drunk matza in your life, maybe this will seem decent to you. If you have drunk, traveled, and tried elsewhere, it is the worst thing someone can drink in matza! That's why its price is so low. Bitter, smells awful, its color is strange. Terrible, I prefer to give 5.30 euros every day to a well-known global chain with coffees, rather than drink this awful thing again. I bought it and threw it away!

I drink it forcefully hoping to get used to it.. Such bitterness, not even in a romantic disappointment!!! I tried it light, I tried it with lemon, I tried it with milk. In the end, I add cocoa, a pinch of sugar, sweetener, I whisk them in hot water with a "swishhh" and I add milk. It's not delicious, but it's bearable.

    My first time with matcha.
I was a little afraid of its taste, but in the end, it's fine... It has a taste like spinach or greens.

Personally, I make cold tea with half a teaspoon of matcha + one teaspoon of black organic sugar. Just mix it a little with the spoon and then put in a straw!

This particular one is also one of the cheapest (there is also one for 100 euros per 100 grams...) but its quality is relatively good.

    Good afternoon,
I have had it since 13th October 2021. I ordered it because I read many positive comments and I decided to try it. I liked it a lot as a flavor with a little lemon, half a spoonful of honey, and half a spoonful of sweet matcha. Perfect, I would recommend it, but I haven't tried the more expensive brands. Now, if it is good for antioxidants, it will show in the future, but I noticed a small improvement in my weight.
Thank you very much, I hope I helped

I use it as a cold tea and it's perfect. With a small amount, you can make a very refreshing infusion that quenches your thirst. Its taste is unique but pleasant, and it is very easy to drink, especially as a cold tea. It's fantastic!

It was my first experience with this type of tea, I cannot compare it to a similar one... The taste is unique and at first, someone may not easily get used to it... It resembles quite a bit what others have claimed about the taste of soaked herbs... But if diluted enough, it somewhat reminds me of classic green tea (the Japanese do not drink it diluted at all)

I use it as a cold tea and it's perfect. With a small amount, you can make a very refreshing infusion that quenches your thirst. Its taste is unique but pleasant, and it is very easy to drink, especially as a cold tea. It's fantastic!

You don't notice a difference in taste with other more expensive ones. It is quite strong but it's worth trying it if you consider the therapeutic properties it offers you!

As the first time I drink this particular type of tea. I really like it, I thought it would have a strange taste but it actually has a taste of mastic! It came in very good condition.

I first discovered the drink at Starbucks. I believe the quality is fine, and I feel that it helps me with some specific issues. Of course, I don't have a comparison with a possibly slightly better quality product.

I usually shop from Japan but due to Covid-19, they do not support airmail to Greece.
The Japanese one is superior by leaps and bounds.

It is enjoyable to drink. I cannot yet evaluate after a week and something of use if what is said about its properties is true.

I wanted to use a drink as a substitute for coffee. The coffee consumption I had was one cup of Nescafe in the morning. This particular tea provided me with the energy I needed.

If you have tried good matcha, you will understand. The difference is obvious. Just from the color.

  • I made matcha latte with some hesitation, as I read comments from some people saying that no matter what they did, it tasted awful.

  • It is not for drinking. It is dark with an oxidized taste. Maybe it works for baking, I don't know. Of course, you can tell from the price. Better to drink mountain tea... it doesn't have a nice taste

  • I started with this and stayed here! I make it with soy milk and it turns out very nice! I also add cinnamon on top! I replaced coffee with matcha and it fully satisfies me!

  • it doesn't have a strong matcha flavor and that worries me about its quality. on the other hand, it is economical and I certainly wouldn't expect excellent quality at this price
