The book "Poultry Farming" was first published in 1991. A second edition followed in 1998, adapted to the new research data of the specialized science of animal production that deals with the breeding of birds.

Three years later, the latest views and information on animal science, as well as the new understanding of environmentally friendly animal production, compatible with the welfare of the birds and aimed at high-quality and safe products for consumers, led to the need for a renewal of the book's content and a new edition.

This book is intended for students of the Veterinary Department who are taking the corresponding section of the course "Animal Production III." However, it may also be useful for everyone involved in poultry production in general.
