"Raccontare il Novecento" is aimed at students of the Italian language LS/L2 at an intermediate-advanced level (B2, C1, C2 of the European Framework). It provides numerous linguistic and cultural suggestions that develop the student's creativity. It offers literary texts for discovering the language, selected authors (Buzzati, Calvino, Ginzburg, Moravia), and possibly other Italian writers. It encourages the student to engage with linguistic complexity and familiarizes them with metalinguistic thinking.

These include four stories from each author, selected as the most interesting (from a linguistic and cultural perspective) and in some ways representative of their styles. The learning units are uniformly structured with a glossary, comprehension activities, and narratological and linguistic analogies. The final section is dedicated to productive activities, both written and oral.

"Raccontare il Novecento" is complemented by the Teacher's Book, which contains, in addition to the solutions, valuable stylistic and linguistic observations.
