21st-century schools are characterized by the diversity of their students. Students differ in terms of race, religion, nationality, but there are also students with disabilities or who have been deemed to have special needs. Inclusive education is a particular challenge for schools that strive to provide equal opportunities for all their students. To achieve this, the involvement of educators in this process is necessary. Thus, inclusive education becomes a challenge for educators as well.
In this book, the argument is built that inclusive education largely depends on what educators do in their classrooms. Educators are the critical factor, as they are the ones who implement inclusive education in daily practice. Therefore, the argument is that educators are a potential solution to the issue of developing inclusive pedagogies in schools, and in this book, through the various chapters, some of the characteristics that educators can possess to promote inclusion will be presented.
