Italiano Medico, created in collaboration with the University of Parma, targets foreign students (both Erasmus and non-Erasmus, European and non-European) who are enrolled in Italian universities, as well as foreign professionals at B1-B2 level working in hospitals or universities in Italy.

The structure allows for its use in both classroom settings and for self-taught learners, as the solutions to the exercises are included at the end of the book.

Italiano Medico is dedicated to specialized language and medical terminology and consists of ten units, organized as follows:

• The first two units are dedicated to the vocabulary of the human body and professional equipment;
• The next three units present the National Health System, hospitals, and blood collection in Italy respectively;
• The last five units are more specialized and cover different systems: digestive, cardiovascular, respiratory, urinary, and musculoskeletal.
