Description

When I wrote in the late 1990s, my first work 'The Black Shadow in Greece - National Socialist and Fascist Organizations in Greece during the Interwar Period and the German Occupation (1941 - 44)', what I had in mind was the objective recording and description of the lost world of the defeated.

The 1930s was essentially the peak of the great conflict of ideological currents in Europe. At that time, and following the model of Mussolini in Italy and Hitler in Germany, small and large political movements were created with autonomous ideological positions to counter the threat of communism and parliamentary democracy.

Anti-communism, the militaristic spirit, the revolutionary character, pro-labor policies, but primarily anti-Semitism have traditionally been the main characteristics of the National Socialist movements.
