This book aims to provide an understandable yet accurate description of the cardiovascular system, including its structure, function, regulation, as well as its pathophysiology, pharmacology, and therapeutic aspects.

It is primarily intended for preclinical medical students studying modules based on the various systems of the body. However, it would also be equally useful for other students and healthcare professionals as an introduction to this topic, as well as a refresher of knowledge for clinical doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

The book is divided into 55 chapters, of which the last 4 are discussions of clinical cases. Each chapter revolves around one or two diagrams or tables and is designed to contain an amount of information roughly equivalent to what is presented in one hour of teaching.
