This book has been written primarily to serve as a review guide for undergraduate students in introductory inorganic chemistry of the 1st and 2nd year of studies. We hope it will be useful to all students in the sciences where chemistry plays an important part of the curriculum.
The structure of the book is based on the arrangement of the Periodic Table, and the information provided within is formatted into "easy-to-understand" two-page summaries. The chemical reactivity of the elements and their compounds are described in relation to the position of each element in the Periodic Table, and all the essential connecting concepts (ideas and principles) are concisely presented.
Additionally, important industrial applications and related chemical processes are discussed. The section "Recommended Further Reading" at the end of the book offers a selection of more detailed texts. Each chapter is developed and completed in just two pages.
