  • What three songs could you listen to non-stop?

Sometimes I wonder if my mom is BRAINLESS. Other days, I know she is. Like today. The drama started in the morning, when I casually asked her if she would get me one of those new, awesome iPhones that can do almost everything. For me, it’s an essential part of life, probably second only to oxygen. What better way to secure a spot in the clique of THE SO-CALLED COOL (Popular Gods & Divas) at Westchester, the new private school, than to impress its members with a state-of-the-art phone? Last year, I must have been the ONLY student in the ENTIRE middle school without a phone. So, I bought a super cheap, older, used model at an auction on eBay. It was bigger than I wanted, but I thought for the bargain price of $12.99, there was no way I’d regret it.

I put the phone in my locker and spread the news: now, everyone could call me for the “JUICY” gossip on my NEW phone! Then I started the countdown. The moment when my social life would catch fire was approaching. I got incredibly anxious when I saw two girls from the SO-CALLED COOL group walking down the hallway toward me, talking on their phones. They stopped in front of my locker and started acting super friendly. Then they invited me to sit with them at lunch. I replied, “Uh… okay,” even though inside I was jumping around like Snoopy doing his “happy dance.”

  • I got it for my daughter, who reads the books of this series. It is enjoyable and she fills it in from time to time, she seems to like it.

  • There is nothing worse for a girl, whether young or old, to read... it promotes consumerism, fashion, and excessive preoccupation with beauty, as if a child has no other purpose in life. Also, premature sexual life. It is unacceptable!
