Aspekte neu is the German educational book for secondary education, aimed at students who wish to deepen their knowledge of the German language from level B1 and confidently reach level C1. Interesting topics and texts, as well as targeted skill training, support the learning process.

Aspekte neu has been developed based on the recommendations of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and with the help of the competency descriptions from the Profile deutsch. A central goal is oriented learning, integrating life domains and the situations in which students encounter the German language and act in it. Support for autonomous learning is provided.

The selection of topics, types of texts, and language practices in the chapters is developed based on this approach. Grammar, expressive means, and vocabulary, as well as the promotion of strategies, emerge from this process. Aspekte neu offers integrated exam preparation from the very beginning in both the educational and the workbook.

In the workbook, there is pronunciation training suitable for the level in each chapter. Authentic films on DVD, which accompany the book, as well as cultural portraits at the end of each chapter, motivate students and provide a diverse picture of German-speaking countries. Aspekte neu is structured with units. Instructors can choose to teach a selection for their class or process the units linearly. Each unit explores a new aspect of the chapter's topic, developing skills and language practices with different focuses.
