The book refers to the study of the professional development of adult educators in Greece, emphasizing their work values and professional satisfaction.
The topic is approached through a qualitative study, and the data were collected from five in-depth biographical interviews. Content analysis was used as the method for analyzing the respondents' discourse.
The findings of the research show that adult educators in Greece, as well as internationally, are on a continuous journey of reflection, inquiry, learning, (self)assessment, and effort, in what the theory of Transformative Learning describes as a lifelong process of reflection around their certainties and assumptions.
This attitude ultimately shapes their development, characterized by their professional ethics, a sign that they constitute a distinct (and interesting) professional group.
