Very good lightweight lens with nice bokeh, the macro is satisfactory, relatively fast and silent focusing compared to Sigma and Canon L lenses. Works as a second lens for general shots. In video, it gives a nice image, it's a bit slow in fast changes but it's not a problem. One downside is the chromatic aberration, which can be corrected with one click, of course.

Used at a wedding on 31/8 mounted on an R6, for a wide range of shots from details to family photos, and I can't describe how much it made my life easier.
Its macro function is very useful (without having experience with macro lenses), the flexibility of 35mm is also well known, and the 1.8 is very practical with beautiful bokeh. It manages to balance everything, wide aperture at 35mm and macro capabilities. Its focusing speed is also flawless, it responded to everything with great accuracy.
A truly amazing Swiss army knife from Canon, without emptying your wallet, while maintaining very satisfactory image quality.

Classic and reliable Canon lens. I don't like its result in macro, but that is subjective.

For its price, it is a good build.

Let me write my review too. I have been using it for about 8 months and my usage has been amateur, nevertheless I believe it is worth someone's purchase. It is very lightweight, has good sharpness and colors, very fast auto focus, and even performs very well in low-light photography. It offers great value for money for a lens that covers 80% of your needs if you want to shoot portraits, landscapes, street, etc. Additionally, the bokeh it produces is very good and its macro capabilities are commendable

Exceptional lens for Canon's mirrorless full-frame system.
Can be used for portraits, street, and landscape photography.
It is an intermediate stage for professional quality (stopping down to at least f/2.8).
Its macro capabilities are good, and the IS greatly helps with low light photography.
