On 14/2/23 I first used my new SALTER AIRE ELITE nebulizer. Unfortunately, it disappointed me. I have had COPD for many years and therefore have experience with many nebulizers. SALTER has the advantage of providing nebulization with small particle size. With some medications, such as Aerolin, the nebulization is completely satisfactory. However, with other medications, such as Pulmicort 0.5, the nebulization is very slow and ineffective, forcing me to stop using the SALTER and complete it with my old nebulizer.

Other observations: 1) A considerable amount of medication remains at the bottom of the nebulization cup. 2) It is packaged in a cardboard box and does not have even a basic carrying bag. 3) The instructions recommend regular filter replacement. There is not a single spare filter in the package and they are sold separately at a relatively high price (2.50 euros per piece). 4) It has a nice appearance and the built-in handle is practical.

The product was purchased on 9/2/23 from a store in Northern Greece and I would not buy it again.

  • Compared to an Italian one that I tried, there is a significant difference in the nebulization time of the same ampoule. I could say 50% less compared to the Italian one.
Perhaps the only drawback is that it is a bit noisy.
Also, it is an American company and has certifications according to EN
