The "Innovations in Education" series aims to contribute to the strong delineation of educational work and teaching practice of candidates and serving teachers with publications related to the realization of innovative topics. The series is addressed to those involved in educational activities.
This work attempts to trace the role of microteaching in Education and Training of future and serving educators, based on primary and secondary elements. It consists of two parts. In the first part, the clarification of the term microteaching is attempted and certain relevant positions and views are presented. There is an extensive reference to its role and presentation of microteaching models that are applied internationally and in our country. In the second part, the views of two important recipients of microteaching, students and practicing teachers, are explored regarding its contribution to their pedagogical and teaching training, whether it helps them acquire teaching skills, overcome anxiety, and gain self-confidence.
