Everyone now knows that the dragons, the minions of the Queen of Darkness, have returned. But for a long time, hostilities and prejudices have divided the tribes of Krin. The warriors of the elves and the knights are plagued by internal disputes. It seems that the battle has been lost before it even begins.

The companions have been separated, swept away by the whirlpool of war. An entire winter will pass before they meet again - if they meet. As darkness spreads, a disgraced knight, a spoiled elven princess, and a scatterbrained centaur are left alone in the light of winter. They are far from what we would call heroes...
