Description

Fifteen years have passed since the death of perhaps the greatest basketball player to ever come from Europe, and MVPublications, as a small tribute to the great and unforgettable Dražen Petrović, brings to Greece the most comprehensive biography ever written about the famous “Son of the Devil.”

“Requiem” is the Greek translation of the book written by Todd Spehr and is considered the most moving, the most complete, and the most chillingly detailed work concerning the life of the man who became known as “Mozart.” Dražen Petrović never followed the path of the great superstars who left this life too soon. He did not die to become immortal. He was immortal long before the thread of his life was unexpectedly and tragically cut on a German road in the summer of 1993.

The basketball Mozart, as he is remembered in history, achieved in his youth what other athletes need two lives and three careers to accomplish. The story of his life is not just a recounting of these achievements. It is something much more and greater: The passion of a young man to be the first. The first in Europe, the first foreigner to succeed in the NBA.

For an entire country, Croatia, Dražen remains a myth whose boundaries extend beyond the narrow confines of sports. In reality, however, Dražen belongs to everyone and is a treasure of world basketball.

AN EXCITING BOOK THAT READS LIKE A NOVEL AND NOT LIKE A SIMPLE BIOGRAPHY.
