It is already pre-seasoned, meaning it has been coated with vegetable oil that creates the right non-stick film to prevent food from sticking. Cast iron cookware has an excellent ability to maintain a stable heat during cooking, which is why it is used by the world's top chefs.

Furthermore, cooking with cast iron cookware is generally much healthier, as they do not contain artificial chemical compounds like Teflon. Note: Carefully measure your cooktops to ensure they match the diameter of the grill pan's base you want.
