Specifications
High-quality cast iron Dutch oven from Petromax, very small in size, with a flat bottom that makes it ideal for direct use over a fire, in the oven, in a wood-fired oven, on the barbecue, or even in the fireplace. All the heat is trapped inside the pot, and the cast iron cooks the food evenly from all sides. The lid has a special hole for a food thermometer. The Dutch oven is already pre-seasoned and ready for use, meaning it has been coated with vegetable oil to create the appropriate non-stick film so that food does not stick.
Cast iron cookware has an excellent ability to maintain a stable temperature for food during cooking, which is why it is used by top chefs worldwide. Cooking in a Dutch oven is generally slow: food cooks slowly, without temperature fluctuations, retaining its juices and creating a very tasty result. Additionally, cooking in cast iron cookware is generally healthier, as there are no artificial chemical compounds like Teflon.
Note: Carefully measure your oven or fireplace to ensure it matches the size of the Dutch oven you want. Cast iron cookware may have aesthetic imperfections from the casting or seasoning process; however, these do not affect the functionality, warranty, or lifespan of the pot.
