The purpose of this book's edition is to provide an appropriate aid for university students as well as for any learner and reader who wishes to study the elements of the Periodic Table and their compounds based on the general principles governing chemistry.
Questions such as "why?", "how?", "when?" run throughout the material. Methods of preparation, the change in properties of compounds, ways of connecting atoms, types of bonds, etc., are examined based on the properties of the elements of a group.
References to historical facts as well as references to other branches of science show that Chemistry is not isolated from other sciences but holds a dominant role in our lives (energy, catalysis, organometallic compounds, bioinorganic have their basis in the properties of the elements and constitute their application).
The role of Inorganic Chemistry in restoring a human-friendly environment is emphasized. Special effort has been made to use diagrams, charts, and tables that will help the student understand the properties without requiring sterile memorization.
Furthermore, in all chapters, questions for answers as well as solved exercises and examples are provided that will facilitate the reader's thought process. At the end of each chapter, there is suggested bibliography since our belief is that no one - not even the student - should be a reader of only one text.
