The reason I purchased it is because my previous cleanser caused dryness after acne treatment, so I wanted something more hydrating. The routine I followed when wearing makeup was to remove it with micellar water or another product and then use Neutrogena for a second cleanse. The only time I used it on its own was when I didn't wear makeup or only wore sunscreen.

    I wouldn't say it is fully hydrating, as moisturizing is necessary afterwards as expected after cleansing, but it didn't cause further dryness, which is positive, and it also had a subtle and pleasant scent.

    Therefore, it is recommended as a cleanser for combination skin if you don't use makeup. Otherwise, something more "enhanced" is needed.
