Far Cry: New Dawn for Xbox One is a first-person action shooter with arcade elements, set in Hope County, Montana, 17 years after a global nuclear disaster. Survivors try to defend their community from the Highwaymen, a gang of criminals led by twin sisters Mickey and Lou. The adventure can be played solo or in two-player co-op.

The base's eight facilities let you craft weapons and vehicles, train Guns for Hire, and organize missions. Upgrading the base improves its facilities and unlocks more powerful weapons and gear. Turf Wars involve capturing Highwaymen outposts and collecting Ethanol and other resources; when the Highwaymen return with reinforcements, the outposts offer a greater challenge and more resources. Expeditions take you to locations outside Hope County, across various regions of the United States.
