It worked straight out of the box. I put in my old HDD, connected it to the PC, and was able to transfer files without any effort or workarounds. I recommend it.

It read an ancient 3.5" disk without issues with the power or anything else. Consider that after I placed the order, I was reconsidering whether the disk was SATA or IDE. When I cut the power from the computer, it properly stopped providing power from the transformer as well.

Obviously, it is not for long-term use; it is more of a good SATA-to-USB along with a storage box for a 3.5" disk. It also has some foam pieces inside that I assume are for placing a 2.5" disk inside, as well as slots for storing (not reading) SD memory cards and similar sizes.

This one is USB 3.0. From the 3.5" to an external SSD USB 3.2 on a USB 3.1 port, transferring 60 GB of files in about 40 minutes with rsync (along with some waiting time and dry runs in between).

The disk does not fit well inside the case. The SD slots are too tight and you can easily damage an SD card by pressing it to insert it. It does not have an ON/OFF button, so the disk is constantly running and the device is constantly consuming power. To disconnect the disk from the computer, you have to remove both the USB cable and the power cable (what a hassle). It supports disks up to 8TB (if you insert a larger one and write new files, they will be written anywhere and you will lose what you had). In short, I have never bought a more miserable product and I am considering throwing it in the trash.

Very simple process: you open it, you put it in, you close it, that's it.
Hard drive that was unused for years in the closet, as soon as I put it in: like new!!! It worked, was immediately recognized, appeared in Windows in a split second, USB 3 satisfactory, with instant access to files. Despite the age and slow speed of the drive.
The ultimate advantage is that at any time you can remove the controller and put any SATA device on it. However, I haven't tried it yet with a 2.5" hard drive. So essentially, you have a controller, a case, and storage space for SD cards.
As for the quality of the plastic, I found it to be very good. However, I'm not thrilled about constantly opening and closing it because I'm afraid it might break.
I was very happy with the purchase because it revived a hard drive that I had considered throwing away at some point! And luckily I didn't, so I got my files back :)

I tried it on a 3.5 SATA and it worked great.
The 4 ⭐ are because I consider it slightly expensive.

I will call it 3 in 1... Personally, I removed the DVD writer and the 3.5-inch hard drive from my old desktop and they work perfectly. It also works for 2.5-inch hard drives.

It does exactly what it promises. The 3.5'' disk fits perfectly. It works with external power supply, which is also better for the disk.
The 2.5'' disk floats inside the case, but it definitely connects and can be read.

Very good product.
The quality of the plastics is very good and the removable adapter is very convenient.
It works flawlessly with both internal 3.5" and 2.5" drives and DVD rom, both on Linux and Windows
