    There are two protocols for HDD hard drives, SATA (for simple use) and SAS (high reliability for corporate use).

    SATA III

    A modern hard disk connection standard that offers twice the maximum speed compared to SATA II.

    The motherboard must support it for the disk to operate at its maximum potential.

    I purchased three disks for my Synology DS923+ NAS in mid-July 2024. I cannot know their reliability yet. The only thing I know for sure is that they make excessive noise. I am considering moving the NAS outside of the office... I can't work!! That's why three stars.
