The interviews of Antonis Boskoïtis possess the charm of "spontaneity," though they are anything but spontaneous. There is serious preparation, research, and data collection involved - yet this is not apparent anywhere. The reader has the feeling that they are not reading an interview but rather witnessing a random encounter, enjoying a coffee in the sunshine, taking a stroll through the streets of our day and night.

This sense of closeness is further enhanced by Antonis's deliberate choice of orality in his writing. Only a trained eye can discern not only the groundwork he has laid but also Boskoïtis's almost obsessive dedication to a genre that he knows, loves, and honors.

When I read him, I have the impression that he knows the life of the other person better than they do. However, this knowledge is never "advertised" anywhere in his text. He remains discreet in the background, shining the spotlight on his interlocutor, without projecting his own "self" onto the other person.

What "betrays" him is his writing style, as, indeed, it "betrays" all exceptional interviewers: their ability to illuminate the interviewee while still maintaining a strong and therefore recognizable personal imprint.

I am very pleased to encounter this gift after a long time in a representative of the generation in their 40s. This is why I follow him, why I read him, why I take pride in him.

In interviews, it takes two to tango. However, even when the two are dancing, only one leads the dance. And Bosko knows this well.
