Description & Specifications

For 13 centuries, historians have studied all aspects of Islamic successes. Religious scholars have investigated its relationship with sacred texts and the religious traditions of other religions, while sociologists have analyzed the elements and forces that compose the system of Muslim society.

Today, however, the intelligentsia, both Muslim and non-Muslim, is preoccupied with their well-known religious fanaticism, in their attempts to penetrate Western societies. Not, of course, as it acted during its spread in the countries of Asia and Africa, with the power of the sword and the application of Islamic law (Sharia), nor with its theocratic structure, but by retaining only five basic teachings of the Quran.

The author, following the historical course of Islam from its emergence to the present, has investigated the pre-Islamic environment, documenting the reasons for the Arabs' departure from the Arabian Peninsula and their successes in the Byzantine provinces of Palestine, Syria, and Egypt, and in other countries up to Spain.

With emphasis on the losses of Orthodoxy and consequently of the Greek Nation, he refers to the wound of Islamization for our nation and the dissolution of Christian communities in the East.
